My Path with the Law of Attraction Diary – Day 9

I didn’t think I would have anything to talk about today, but as luck would have it, I actually do have something to say. Today I want to approach the subject of negative influences. Whilst focusing on getting to your goal and being positive and successful in the small things it can be quite disturbing if you find yourself in the company of those “glass half empty” kind of people.

Now I know that according to the law, if you are in a good place yourself, you shouldn’t even notice them, but if you happen to be in a mediocre place for the day, they still get up your nose! So……how are you supposed to handle this situation?

What I have found helps for me, is to focus, really focus on what I want to achieve, with unwavering attention. I also find that exactly this situation motivates me to move forward towards my goal as fast as I can.

In my mind I run through all the things I love and am grateful for. I go into an almost meditative state and find my “Happy Place” blocking out all the things I don’t want to see or hear. Blocking out isn’t really the right word, I tend to fill the space with positive things instead of fighting against what I don’t want there. I must say though that sometimes this can work really well and sometimes it is much more of an effort – again this has purely to do with where I am mentally – “Good mood = Easy day” “Bad mood = Much harder kind of day”

How to get into a good mood? SMILE – even forcing yourself to smile for a couple of minutes raises your endorphin level creating a happy feeling to spread through your body. You will ultimately be in a good mood soon again!!! It can also decrease stress levels which is a bonus!!!

“Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can’t be done.” -Bo Bennett

  1. Even when you are trying to block out the negative influences you are still giving them thought. Ignoring them completely and focusing on only the good ones keeps you in that happy place :)
