WIP Wednesday - Yarn Along

My word another week gone...how time is flying by!

So this is what I am busy with this week:

On my needles: I am almost done knitting some simply cabled socks for my hubby. Should have the pattern up by the end of the week.

On my E-Reader: I no longer have a "Real" bookshelf, my books are the virtual kind! So, this week I am reading: "All that remains" by Patricia Cornwell. I love her books and am enjoying this one also.

Kay was hankering to knit something again, as her WIP projects are still on the way over here, so I gave her some of my stash that is slowly building up and got her started on a pot holder. She has been in bed the last couple of days so hasn't made it all too far, but what she has done is looking quite good!

We have also been going through our attic getting rid of the unwanted stuff and making room for all the new boxes that are on their way and Jas found her magnetic building blocks, so she and Stefan have been building the most amazing structures:

Don't forget to come back tomorrow and share your Kitchen Krafts......

I will be sharing this post with:

  4. Those socks may be a simple idea but they are very effective.

My kids have some of those magnetic things. I might have to find them from their hiding place to relieve a bit of boredom.

    1. Hi Kerry,

Yes, the socks are working out to be a dream, it keeps snowing and snowing, so they are coming in very handy right about now :-D

Those magnetic blocks are so great, we almost need to restock as the projects are getting bigger and more complex :-D

    1. Hi Vicki,

Thanks for visiting. Cabling is so cool isn't it....looks so much harder to do than it really is. I love it, makes my work seem to grow sooooo fast because I am so busy concentrating on when the cable needs to come back in....love it!

  8. Oh those socks look so lovely! I've only just made my first pair and have started a second pair, but both with self-striping yarn so they are just simple stocking stitch! :)

    1. Hi Sarah,

Thanks for visiting. Self-striping yarn is so great for socks, I love the way two pairs of socks in the same wool can look so different.

      Enjoy

    1. Hi there,

Glad you like them. Hubby says he can't wait to wear them (and he is kinda picky about what he wears)which is a BIG compliment! So I am trying to get them done asap, and I have the next pattern for my next pair already planned out.....so before I get the second sock syndrome knit, knit, knit! :-D

  11. I've said it before, but I admire people who can knit socks. I do not know why but I am always impressed. This also applies to yours.
By the way: you have a nice postman:) Good luck with your spinning adventures!

      Thanks for visiting.

I love socks, I like the fact that if you stay knitting a couple of hours a day, you tend to have a pair within a couple of days!

  14. The socks are looking awesome. We have a few of those magnetic building toys. Unfortunately, our cats have taken off with quite a few of the ball connecters :)

    1. Hi SarahFay,

I recall many years ago my youngest daughter used to think they were some kind of sweet and swallowed the balls! We knew when they passed through by the klinking in the toilet!! :-D
