WIP Wednesday / Yarn Along - Finishing Projects

This week the most of us have been in bed with colds. So when I eventually stood up to write this post, I was still quite amazed how much I was able to complete, in-between the sniffing, sneezing and coughing. My goal for this week was to finish off some of my outstanding WIPs that I started and then put aside to start something else - you know how it goes :-D

Well, the bag I finished in time last Friday is now complete. This is how the finished product looks:
Before
After

I also managed to finish my Maluka Shawl. I loved working on it, it was my first shawl and I thoroughly enjoyed knitting it and was quite a shame that it came to the end.  Definitely want to knit another shawl :-D

Back on my needles: My daughters Simply Cabled Sox, almost done now, I feel bad not having finished them until now and I don't want to start anything new until I have at least finished these off.

Great News - I got my first knitting order - WOOHOOOOOO!
I have been asked to knit some socks. Will keep you updated on progress!

Still reading: The Hound of Rowan. Not sure if I will be finishing this one off, it is really not bad, but I am needing to read something different for the moment ...... Am thinking of putting this aside and starting the Hunger Games as I am hearing so much about this book!

Don't forget to come past tomorrow for Kitchen Krafts: Tomorrow the post will include EGGS....I wonder why???

Today, I will be sharing this post over at:

    1. Hi Sarah,

Thanks so much for your visit. My mom-in-law saw the shawl and liked it so it already has a new home and I have a reason to knit another one :-D

Thank you, I am so thrilled, I hope this is a sign for a possible new future, as I love the idea of being able to work from home, and what better way to do it then by using your hobby to do so?

  7. Looks like you're at the gusset decreases on that second sock; I always find that once the heel turn is complete and the gusset stitches are picked up, the foot just speeds along! Congratulations on your first order!

    1. Hi there,

Yes I am on the gusset :-D I love this sock with all the cables, because you keep your mind so active keeping up with all the rounds till the next cable that in the blink of an eye you are already at the heel and it feels like no work at all.

      Thanks for visiting
