WIP Wednesday / Yarn Along / KAL

Wednesday already?!! Believe it or not, this morning was snowing AGAIN!!!
Well okay then, here my WIP update for the week.
I have managed to finish another tank top for the Tops, Tanks and Tees KAL that I am participating in until the end of this month :D I am thrilled, I didn't think I would get any garment finished after the troublesome start and now I have finished top number 2 - Jas's is smiling coz both of the tops are hers. You will see the FO on Friday, or if you want to get a sneak preview before then you can read the post here.
I started on a pair of socks yesterday - these have been ordered and I am going to make these according to my Simply Cabled Pattern.
I originally wanted to knit these together, but as I have a time limit and can't allow any errors I am knitting them one at a time.
My Florette is growing and I am about 6 rows from finishing the back.
My new wool arrived for me to restart my summer cardigan, but I need to get something done for Kay first, although she is the kind of child who is not too bothered or interested in knitted or crochet projects....as long as it is purple! :-D
My reading: Oh boy, still nothing to add here, so still trying to get into the Game of Thrones :(
Kitchen Krafts tomorrow:
Next instalment on the Rum Pot. I would love for you to come past and share your favourite recipes, traditions or tips and tricks  for the household :)

Now onto something completely different:
Have you watched Burlesque? Now, I didn't think I would enjoy this movie, but I would recommend it just because of the great songs and dancing. I want to share the song that I thought was fantastic. Kept me singing the whole day! - Enjoy.
Will be sharing over at:

  1. Your work is looking good and you are productive! That light blue is a pretty color! The weather over here in Holland is not to good either, in stead of springy temperatures it storms and rains and it is cold....:)

    1. Hi Elisabeth Andree,

This is when I start to feel homesick for South Africa...good weather was the plan of the day and if it was bad it recovered quite quickly to once again offer gorgeous weather all summer long :( Oh well, we take what comes and make the most of it! So today instead of gardening - knitting :-D

      Thanks for visiting.

I guess I should maybe forget the summer knitting and concentrate on the winter woolies with this weather!!

    1. Hi Tracey,

Yip, snowing and it doesn't seem to be coming to an end today. Given it is not cold enough to stick around, but it is cold nonetheless!

      Thanks for visiting :-D

    1. Hi Minding My Own Stitches,

I am starting to think we won't have enough nice days to wear the tanks...anyway it was fun and quick :D. Back to the Ravelry Queue to find what is waiting for winter knitting, maybe start with something from there LOL!!

      Thanks for coming by.

  5. Your projects are looking beautiful Natalie! The weeks seem to be flying past. I have seen Burlesque and really enjoyed it.

The asparagus recipe I made has potatoes, beans and cream in it, as soon as I blog about it, I will let you know.

Enjoy the snow, it's getting really cold here.

  6. Wow, you are a prolific knitter! Well done. That pattern for your Summer Cardigan looks very intriguing. And don't talk to me about snow ;-) We're revving up for a convincing spring now.

Looking out my window this morning (Thursday) I have a beautiful blue sky, birds tweeting and warmth, so I am hoping our spring is eventually here also!
