The Colour Orange

Isn't this a gorgeous sight? Autumn must be my all-time favourite season, I love the colours of the trees (keeps up nicely with the title of today's post) and the fog is just lovely, makes me feel so industrious! It also definitely smells like winter is on our doorstep and they have said it may snow over the weekend......yay!!!! Today for lunch I think I will be making my barley soup to fit in perfectly with this weather.
You can find the recipe for that here.

Onto my WIPs for the week:
What can I say, I got weak with the squishy, fluffy ball of lovely orangeness from last week.
Yip, by Thursday afternoon last week I couldn't take it anymore, fetched the ball and knitted myself a cardigan! And that in 3 Days!!!! I still can't quite believe that it only took that little amount of time! I started on Thursday afternoon, didn't knit on Friday, knit on Saturday afternoon, and knit on Sunday. Sewed in the ends on Monday and Viola I have a cardigan!! Will show you the cardie in all its' glory on Friday.
I still have some of the enormous ball of Drops Verdi yarn left, so I have decided to knit a simple cowl to wear with the cardigan when I need it. And my guess is I will need it LOL!!

For this cowl I am just knitting back and forth over 34 stitches on a size 10mm needle. Will be knitting it until all my orange yarn is gone. Hopefully will be finished before Friday also so I can show you both.

Reading: nothing new to mention there unfortunately!

If you have been visiting my Blog on Thursdays for Tutorial Thursdays, you might like a hint as to what I will be showing you how to make tomorrow ;)

I will be showing you how to create a simple, but very effective, scarf pin using only 4 products. I hope you will come past and join in the fun.

See you then, keep warm, think of orange it helps!

I will be sharing this post over at my ever-so-talented link-ups today.

  2. Hi sustainablemum,
I agree, my shortest time so far has been 8 or 9 days until now! It does help that the wool is kinda bulky and it is all knit on size 10 needles though :)
    Thanks so much for visiting.

    1. Hi Devon Mama,
Isn't it just, it is amazingly soft, even though it isn't only natural fibres in it.

  5. You must be a very fast knitter, I'm in awe of how fast you were able to knit the cardi. The color of the yarn is gorgeous! I just love orange! Can't wait to see the scarf pin since I have a few of the gonis products myself...

Great stuff, hope you have the products I use ;)
I am also an orange freak, I love anything and everything orange, I guess it is because I try to be creative and orange helps in that aspect.
