Wacky Wednesday

Whew, I can tell you I am busy :)

I wanted to give you a super tutorial tomorrow and so I worked on the project until 3am this morning, that's 13 hours of solid work to you and me. I don't know where people get the impression that blogging is a simple task ;)
It might not always be simple, but it is always fun, it is weird how once you have stated to blog, it either catches you, or it doesn't. I can't say I could live without it anymore, I am an addict.
Not that I am worried about this state of events. My addiction will hopefully help many people become that much more creative, that much more involved in the things they love to do, so it is definitely worth it.

If you read the 10 Outstanding reasons to visit Marigolds' Loft this October, you know that there will be loads of cool things happening here. Tomorrow I will start that list off with Tutorial Thursdays.

For the month of October, I will be having a linky party on Thursdays for you to all strut your crafted stuff. I will also show you a great, simple way to create things.
Tomorrow (Well, I will be posting it later on today as I leave the house early tomorrow morning) I will be showing you this........(with Video;))
Isn't that exciting????? I hope you will be joining in with all the fun?

Talking of tutorials - I am so excited to announce that I will be having my first BlogSwap Partner this month :) I will be swapping with Katharina from Travelling the World for the day.
Her tutorial post will be featured next week on Tutorial Thursday, and get this....there will be a Give-Away......squee!!!!
I will tell you more about it this week, I can't wait!! If you would also like to be a BlogSwap partner of mine I would love to hear from you. You can read more about it HERE

Have you signed up for Secret Santa Handmade Swap? You haven't? Oh, well it is good that you came by today then :D
I would love to make this event WWW HUGE, and would love it if you joined in. Please help me to make this event fantabulous! It can only work if there are loads of people taking part, and I feel honoured to have each and every one of you participating.

Now without further ado, onto my WIP:
Today I can only show you a collective picture as there are some goodies in the pile that I can't show you just yet - but hope to be able to on Friday this week or next (wink, wink)
Jas's Jersey is still the same as last week and Kay's also. I am really working solely on the Pay it Forward pressies so that I can send them off as soon as I can.
Have you all sent off your PIF gifts already?
More Exciting news - I am busy on my own Fair Isle Pattern, hope I will have something to show you next week.

On the reading side of things: I am reading The Game of Thrones....chewing through it is the more appropriate phrase.
I am on page 120 and still am not really getting into this book. Does anyone out there have similar experiences? I have only heard good things about this book, but I am still waiting to be awed! So many characters and to be honest tooooo much description, sends my sensory vision into overload!
Anyway, let me post this otherwise it will be tomorrow before I do.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, I do appreciate it.
I will be sharing this post with my Link Ups.

    1. Hi Tracey,

I hope it will be finished soon, maybe in time for next week Friday if I am lucky, but I think in 2 weeks time seems more probable.
      Thanks for visiting.

  3. wow lots of exciting things going on over here. My husband is totally obsessed with Game of Thrones and has read all the novels and now is re-reading them...it used to be Lord of the Rings!! I haven't read any of them but apparently there are lots of stories going on there. Look forward to seeing the fair isle pattern...I have been doing a bit of simple fairisle myself over the last few weeks...although I'm on a nice garter stitch project at the moment.
    Happy knitting.

    1. Hi momto5,
Yip, I sit here browsing through all the wonderfully creative links and in the back of my head this little voice keeps whispering "You need to get off your computer and start to craft", so I guess I should get on with that :)
      Thanks so much for visiting.

  10. The Game of Thrones series really isn't for everyone. I think it has so many great reviews because, especially before the TV series, the only people who read it were the type of people who were going to like it anyway. It's definitely firmly within the fantasy genre. Fantasy fans tend to love it. Non-fantasy fans coming to it because of the TV series tend to struggle with it. I can tell you that the extreme descriptiveness doesn't go away, but the plot does get more exciting as well.

I'm looking forward to all the great things you've got planned for the month!

    1. Hi Melanie,
Thanks for that, I just keep thinking in my head whilst reading "Oh, please get on with the story...." Not a good thing if you are trying to enjoy the book!
