Finally a chance to post a WIP :)

WIP Wednesday

Wow, it feels like it has been ages since I posted a WIP post, and it has only been two weeks!
Amazing how we as humans get so used to something of a routine and almost do a cold turkey when it is not possible to have that "fix"!

The reason I have been so absent is that I have signed up for a local suitcase market that is coming up in June. I always tend to jump the gun and so as a result am now having to create like a wild woman :)
Luckily I have holiday this week and have managed to sit down and get a couple of pieces done.

suitcase market

I have had little time or energy to sit down with my knitting at the present time and am lucky if I get a row or two done each day. Due to this fact I only have one project on the go right now and that is a pair of socks for Hubby.

I am busy on the second sock and am hoping to have it finished sometime soon so that I can share some other new projects with you, which I have a few of I must tell you! So much for knitting socks only this year ;)

My LYS is having a Drops sale at present - what was I to do? I had to find something to knit with the woolly deliciousness - so I jumped on over to Ravelry to pick out some lovely designs that I have had sitting in my Library for the longest time.

This morning, right on cue, my lovely postperson dropped off a delightful box of.....

drops

Lots, and lots of balls of Drops :)

All of which I hope to share with you over the next while.

Reading wise: I am reading "The Cellist of Sarajevo" which is an eye opening read. It brings back the horrors and brutality of that war and is well written thus far.

What have you been up to this week?

I look forward to visiting you all :)

See you next week
x

P.S. I will be sharing with all my lovely Wednesday friends.

  1. I had a plan to knit only -- or at least mostly -- socks this year. Didn't happen.
Thanks for sharing the book. I love hearing about what knitters are reading. They tend to have very good taste!

    1. Hi Caffeine Girl,
Well I am hoping to still get all the socks planned done - just maybe with some cool projects in between :)
      Thanks so much for visiting.

    1. Hi Elisabeth,
Yes, I know I seem to be a sucker for punishment (which I bring upon myself!) but it is fun never-the-less :)
      Thanks for your visit.
