One More Week!

WIP

Thankfully I am still on track and with just a week to go I only have one last project to complete for under the tree :)

Believe it or not, I have finally finished hubby's socks and I will share them, along with other projects I have completed this week, with you on Friday.

This week I have two projects that are on my needles.

First up - The extra pair of fingerless mitts for Hubby:

fingerless mitts Drops Baby merino

These belong to the project I hoped I would have time to complete before next week. It looks like I still may do that, as I am already on the glove and hubby is at work tomorrow :D
These gloves are a nice mindless pattern going from a 2 x 2 rib to a 1 x 1 rib. I am knitting these in baby merino and am loving how it is knitting up so far.

The other project I would like to share with you is a going away gift for a work colleague:

Broomstick lace scarf

This is a broomstick lace scarf and needs to be finished in the first week of January.

I am working this in Drops Alaska and the blue is almost turquoise unlike the picture. The real colour is just about like this:

I love the speed with which the broomstick lace grows, and hope to be finished this project shortly.

Reading: I have had a little time to read over the last week and am progressing slowly through my latest read.

Are you ready for Christmas?

Do be sure to come back on the 27th December for a peek at what knitted and crocheted projects I gifted this year. (It will have a linky party attached to it should you want to share your wonderful gifts with us all too :))

If I do not not see you next week, I wish you and yours a wonderful festive season and a great begin in 2015.

See you soon.
x
P.S. I will be sharing this with all my lovely Wednesday Friends

  1. I love the colour of those mitts. They look incredibly warm and snuggly. And that broomstick lace is awesome! I've only ever done it in lighter yarns, but I love how it looks in bulkier yarn. Definitely something to try!

    1. Hi madeinoxford,
I saw this pattern and thought I really ought to try it and I had extra yarn (which I bought twice because I forgot I had it already :O) so it is working out wonderfully :)
Have a great rest of your day.

  4. Hi Natalie

I'm so glad that tomorrow is the last day in school. Then there will be time to prepare for Christmas. I am ready regarding presents and projects (almost done). But I haven't had the time to get into the mood of Christmas. But there will be plenty of time until Wednesday. I'm aware that I haven't posted about my Secret Santa, but I just had the idea how I'm going to do it on the 21st. :-)
All the best! Have fun with your projects. Regula
