Moving Forward

wip

Finally movement :)

I have actually been sitting close to my Juliana this week and knitting up a storm!

Last week I had just cast off for the armhole. This week I have managed to knit just on 47cm of the front side - WOAH! That means I have 23cm to get to my cast off edge :)

If all goes well I am hoping to be on the sleeves by next week, hold thumbs for me.

Since I have knit exclusively on this project this week I have not made any progress on Kay's Socks this week, but that is okay, I really can't wait to have my Juliana off the needles!

Reading Wise: Unfortunately, I could not get into the title "Pilgrims Rest" from last week and so I put it aside for another title from Khaled Hosseini - "And the Mountains Echoed

and the mountains echoed

I am thoroughly enjoying this book and will tell you all about it once it has been read.

How are your WIPs growing?

I wish you all a great week.
Thanks for visiting.

I will be sharing with all my Wednesday friends so do go over there to be inspired :)

  2. Wow! That is beautiful! It is going to be awesome when it is done. So jealous of how much you can knit at one time! Man, I could knit so much more if I could do more than a few rows at once :-) Love the color too.

    1. Hi Heather,
I think it is because I am spurred on by wanting it to be off my needles! It looks like one of the longest scarves I have ever knitted at the moment and I just want to start the sleeves - hence the knitting as fast as I can :) What also helps is that it is an 8 row pattern repeat so I have started to push myself to do at least 2 or 3 pattern repeats a day.
Thanks so much for your visit.
Have a great rest of your day.

    1. Hi thecrazysheeplady,
Yes, it is such a good book, I can't wait to get to bed and read some more :) When I started to bawl my eyes out around page 50 I knew I was onto a winner! I have downloaded "A Thousand Splendid Suns" to be read soon too. Have you read that title as well?
      Thanks so much for visiting.

    1. Hi Laura,
Thanks so much, I seem to be leaning toward that colour in most of my knits lately, I used to have a blue tick but that seems to have healed itself, and I do appreciate this plum colour much more ;)
Have a great rest of your day.
