Still Crocheting :)

Tunisian Crochet

I am still busy with my kitchen washcloths :)
This is cloth number 5 and probably the last of them for a while!

As you can see above, I got my replacement hook :)
I haven't used a KnitPro Bamboo hook/needles before and it is quite comfortable to work with!

I am hoping I will have finished this one by Friday so that I can share the last two with you.

Besides that I managed to get some sewing done this week - YAY!!

Onion 0004

These pants are done and are ready to be unveiled to you on Friday as well.

Reading-Wise: Can you believe it I am still busy with the same book!

Wow, I knew that Wilbur Smith's books were thick, and reading it on the Kindle doesn't give away the actual weight of this title, but boy it just never seems to move over 60% :O

I have all of these other cool titles to start reading and am really hoping to finish this book off soon!

What have you been up to so far this week?

I will be sharing this with all my creative weekly friends so pop on over for some great inspiration :)

See You Soon

  1. I really want to learn Tunisian crochet, but I figure I should at least finish up my second "regular" crochet project first. I tend to get too many projects going at once!

    1. Hi Natashalh,
I think we probably are all guilty for having too many things on the go at once :)
I think you have a very big willpower to stick to your already started projects first!
      Thanks for visiting.

  2. I had Tunisian crochet on my list this year but so far I haven't done it. It's been a busy Spring and isn't slowing down outside but I am crocheting some solid granny squares in the evening and I ordered one of those Japanese sewing pattern books as I like the style (loose and simple) like the pants you show above. I have to trace the patterns but the book was only $13 and has gobs of patterns in it. I got it on Amazon and they have several just in case you're interested. My blog post last week showed the book I got. Now I need to make some pattern weights. I probably won't have pants until Fall at this rate! LOL! I do love doing things myself though as much as possible. I think I must come from a long line of pioneers or something! I love your blog as you do a bit of everything. I really like your yarn colors too.

  3. Crocheted washcloths are the perfect thing to make when I need to decompress or de-stress. Don't know if Tunisian crochet is similar in that regard, but it does make a lovely cloth.

  4. I am a great fan of a crochet washcloth, perfect for little gifts topped with a nice homemade soap.

    1. Hi mamasmercantile,
I totally agree with you. I have sold quite a couple of crocheted soap washbags (one of my soaps fit inside perfectly) It does round the gift off completely :)
      Thanks so much for visiting.

  6. Those pants! I had a pair when I was ... well ... younger. But there may be some fabric in my attic and some time on hand this weekend. We will see. :-)

    1. Hi Regula,
They are soooo comfy. I bought a couple of pairs last year in Turkey and since then have been looking for patterns to make some more. I love them :)
