FO Friday Fun

Well I have managed to find a small spot of space to quickly make this blog post :)

I have something to share with you this week, actually two somethings!

Now this is what you call instant-instant gratification!

I made these two scarves in one hour!
Yip, 1 hour!
Arm-knitting scarves - made with Drops Cloud.
Both were delightful projects to complete and they make perfect stocking fillers :)

Please excuse the blurry pics, I guess my phone just does not want to do what I want of it and my mirror is probably covered in fine building dust!

So what have you managed to complete this week?

Feel free to link your finished objects below :)

Have a great weekend.

FO Friday Fun

This week I have something to share with you all :)

ben lomond gloves drops baby merino

Hubby can't get enough of these gloves and so I decided to knit him up a pair for his birthday last Saturday.

Somehow I remembered them being a faster knit than they were and I ended up waking up at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning, locking myself in our bathroom (there is no other place to sit right now :O) and knitting furiously for nearly 2 hours to complete them before hubby got up!

It worked, they were finished on time, but as this is pair number 3, I am getting a little tired of the pattern and may need to branch out and find another cool pattern (or make one) for any future models!

What have you been able to complete this week?

I would love to see!
Please feel free to share your finished objects of this week with us all below.

Have a great weekend.
See you next week.

WIPs and More

WIPs

Making photos on the last available free spot in our home - our bed!
Even that is not entirely free of goodies during the day :O
Our Reno is moving forward nicely, but living on the building site is proving to be quite a test of nerves!

So let me get on and share this week's WIPs with you all before I need to head back into the lions den.....

misae shawl

First up my Misae Shawl.

It is such a nice pattern to knit and because each sequence goes through 2 or 4 rows it makes for a nice change and makes the incredibly long rows seem quite short!

I can't wait to get to the first colour change in the yarn and I am hoping that will happen shortly.

If you are wanting to join in the Shawl-Along you can :)

Silver Haze Drops

I have also cast on a wonderfully bulky project for myself.
I am knitting myself Silver Haze from Garnstudio and am knitting it up in Drops Andes, which makes for a nice bulky knit and it grows super quick!

As some of you may know I am a knitter that likes to simplify everything and where possible knit everything either in pairs or as one piece.

With this cardigan it is no different.

I am knitting it all in one piece and hope to show you more next week.

Jas's Socks have been a bit neglected over the last week and I do hope to get a little time to spend with them over the next couple of days if possible.

Hubby's Gloves were finished in the nick of time and I will share them with you on Friday.

(Do come by on Friday and share your finished objects with me too, there will be a linky attached to my post and I would love to see what you have managed to take off the needles :)

Reading Wise: I have started a new title - Murphy's Law
So far it is quite a good read and I am enjoying it.

What have you been up to this last week?

I will be joining my creative weekly friends with this post, so drop on over there and be inspired :)

See you on Friday.

Woolly Wednesdays

Madeleine Tosh

Don't you just love it when the Postman brings you such loveliness?

I do!

And that twice this week :)

Above you see my Monday parcel!

I decided over the weekend to go through my Ravelry Library and fix my queue - yes, fix it - add gorgeous looking projects and prioritze a bit!

So this box was one of the results :D

Inside this box there was:

Drops Andes

Some Drops Andes for this project

Some Madeline Tosh sock for an Antipodes shawl

malabrigo rios

Now this yarn has no project waiting - any ideas?
It was on special so who was I to say no to it!
It is some Malabrigo Rios, I have one skein.

My next delivery that I received this morning was this one :)

Sidi Spinnt

Doesn't it look yummy?!

This gorgeous yarn is planned for this cute pattern

I have a bit planned for the next while I think.....and these are just some of my queue, I also still have WIPs and goodies in hibernation :O

So let me get on to the wips from this week.

wips

First up....

misae tuch

This is the beginnings of my Misae Shawl.

On Monday we had our first meeting of my knitting-club which I have started in my area.
Most of us are taking part in the KAL and it was so brilliant to sit together and knit on the same project - although I did a bit more talking than knitting!

I have had to pull my progress out already once as I found a mistake, but since it still was early days it didn't bother me all too much!

I have since then restarted but with our renovation in full swing I have not had very many moments to myself over the last couple of days.

I do hope to get some more knitting done today.

The yarn from Wollehimmel is really nice to knit with and I love the subtle tones of the three threads together! I am sure this shawl will look amazing when done!

If you would like to sign up for the KAL you still have a chance we only started on Monday and I would love to have you join in!

You can find more info HERE

Hubby's gloves are making steady progress but I am not sure I will have them done for his Birthday on Saturday, I will see - I do hope I manage!

Reading wise: Not much has changed since last week, I am still enjoying the book I have been reading and do hope to get to the end of it soon.

What have you been up to this last week?

Don't forget to come by on Friday and share your FOs with us all, I look forward to seeing what you managed to finish off!

I will be sharing this post with all of my creative weekly friends, so drop in over there for some great inspiration :)

Have a great rest of your week.
