Works in Progress

wips

This week I have managed to work a little more on my stitching project and am just about finished the second quarter.

I am still enjoying this project immensely.

On Monday, being the first of August, I started on my new month's Sock-Along pattern.

This is Nutkin and is being knit up in Baerenwolle sock yarn which is delightful!

I am knitting the pattern as is with no mods, except that I am knitting mine on a 2.25mm instead of a 2.5mm

You still have loads of time to come on over and join in the sock-along fun. If you have a sock which you cast on no earlier than the 1st August you are game!

You can find all the details HERE

Besides these two projects I have been working on my new warp.

I have made two samples so far so that I can decide which pattern and which thread I will end up using for my final design.

This is sample 1

and sample 2 which is using different thread held double.

The project will turn out to be a table runner with corresponding place mats, so hopefully I don't run out of warp making samples :O

Reading wise: I have a new book on the nightstand - To kill a mockingbird. I look forward to getting into this classic.

What have you been up to this week?

I will be sharing this post with all of my weekly creative friends, so do pop on over there for some great inspiration!

    1. Hi Caffeine Girl,
Thank you so much. I love the simplicity of the Nutkin pattern so I can totally understand how it could have become quite popular :)

      Thanks so much for visiting.

  2. I love your cross-stitch. Those socks are beautiful. I have yet to make a pair of sock, but these have sparked my interest. Your weaving is so pretty. Another craft that I would love to learn. So many crafts, so little time.
