Winter Wonderland

Hubby and I went for a walk today through the woods and as we have been having pretty steep minus temperatures this week, the woods and mountains have been transformed. I forgot to take my camera with me, so we walked the round once, grabbed my camera and walked it again so we could take some photos. Lucky hubby was with me as he has a perfectly still hand so the pics came out really well! So beautiful!

Notice all the animal tracks from last night..

I love the icicles on the valley wall. In the warmer weather you don't even really notice the water trickling, so it is gorgeous to see it this way.

The Alpaca Farm

The stream has completely frozen over.

The water catches the last remaining sunlight

A reindeer :-D

  1. Nat, you live in a magical wonderland! How absolutely beautiful!! And to have an alpaca farm just down the road, wonderful. How far away was the reindeer, he looks so peaceful.

  2. Hi Linda,

The reindeer is kinda tame.....there used to be three of them, mom, dad and him. He is kept in a fairly big enclosure, not sure why they have him there though! He is in the woods, about 10 minutes walk away from our home.

Today was rather wonderful, but FREEZING! Came inside after round two and my legs were burning and my face felt like it was going to break off!
