My Path with the Law of Attraction Diary – Day 10

Woohooo, got my brand new car yesterday, that has put me in a really great mood!!!

Today I am just letting things take their course. Nothing much has come to my attention that I can say I have noticed, but I am giving myself an all out effort to remain positive this month. When I find that I am starting to get that sinking feeling into a bad mood, or start to feel slightly depressed, I switch off my thoughts, and keep my hands busy, either knitting or with some craft and try to focus solely on what I am doing. It definitely does help to shift the mood!

Oh, another thing I do is whip out either a motivational audio book or read one that I love, that also helps to shift things back on to the path I want to be on!

My Path with the Law of Attraction Diary – Day 9

I didn’t think I would have anything to talk about today, but as luck would have it, I actually do have something to say. Today I want to approach the subject of negative influences. Whilst focusing on getting to your goal and being positive and successful in the small things it can be quite disturbing if you find yourself in the company of those “glass half empty” kind of people.

Now I know that according to the law, if you are in a good place yourself, you shouldn’t even notice them, but if you happen to be in a mediocre place for the day, they still get up your nose! So……how are you supposed to handle this situation?

What I have found helps for me, is to focus, really focus on what I want to achieve, with unwavering attention. I also find that exactly this situation motivates me to move forward towards my goal as fast as I can.

In my mind I run through all the things I love and am grateful for. I go into an almost meditative state and find my “Happy Place” blocking out all the things I don’t want to see or hear. Blocking out isn’t really the right word, I tend to fill the space with positive things instead of fighting against what I don’t want there. I must say though that sometimes this can work really well and sometimes it is much more of an effort – again this has purely to do with where I am mentally – “Good mood = Easy day” “Bad mood = Much harder kind of day”

How to get into a good mood? SMILE – even forcing yourself to smile for a couple of minutes raises your endorphin level creating a happy feeling to spread through your body. You will ultimately be in a good mood soon again!!! It can also decrease stress levels which is a bonus!!!

“Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can’t be done.” -Bo Bennett

My Path with the Law of Attraction Diary – Day 8

I am enjoying the pleasures of finishing the small little projects. It is giving me that feeling of accomplishing what I have set out to do and is generally keeping me in a good mood!

Nothing major has happened today, nothing that I need to really blog about........although, I did have another bit of unexpected income come my way today....another R100, not bad :-D that brings the total up to R630 and I still have just under 3 weeks left of the experiment, is rather exciting!

My Law of Attraction Diary – Day 7

Well, I have been quite busy and productive today, being Sunday that is quite nice to see that you can turn even a Sunday into a productive day!

Today, I focused on keeping active (not procrastinating) and doing all the stuff that has been starting to pile up. I baked bread, and banana loaf and kept myself busy finishing jerseys I have promised the girls I would knit them.

I wrote all my outstanding mails and got the school stuff ready for the girls for tomorrow and the rest of next week.

I like that by keeping myself busy it is very easy to focus on all the small successes and at the end of the day go to bed with that overall feeling of being a success. This is exactly what Wattle states you should do.  “…And he must do, every day, all that can be done that day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner.”

My Path with the Law of Attraction Diary – Day 6

Oh my word, you know when you have those “coincidences” happen? I probably would have brushed them aside as usual had I not been writing this diary…….Today in one foul swoop I sold 8 products.

Now I know that I said I wanted to sell 10 products through my Etsy store, and these sales were not through my Etsy store, but hey, I am not complaining. A sale is a sale and it adds towards my total unexpected income bringing in another R350. So far that makes a grand total of R530 unexpected income thus far!!!!

Still having a problem focusing on the ADSL internet for at home, but then to be quite honest, although I wrote these things down 6 days ago, I find that when I meditate I find myself focusing more on my long-term goals than the ones I have written down. The strange thing is, the ones written down have all but been forgotten, and  are still happening……so the questions begs to be asked, is it enough to just put your intentions into the words you write?

To add another element of surprise to my amazing end to this week, I think I have found a way that could ultimately help me work from home as a stay at home mom – WOOOOHOOOOO, will keep you updated on that front.

To be quite honest this experiment started off as quite a difficult task, but today it has proven to be quite rewarding. I look forward to see how the next 24 days develop…..x

My Law of Attraction Diary - Day 5

Writing this diary at this point of the month is proving to be rather trying, as it is the time of the month when my financial resources start to become depleted and it takes a lot of effort to remain positive and believing.

The experiment itself is forcing me to remain positive as I want to give myself a well tried effort at manifesting all that I planned to at the beginning of this diary.

What I am finding rather difficult, but this is my usual problem, it to remain focused on what I originally set out to manifest and not to go changing the things that I want to bring into my life. This for me is, and has been the biggest hurdle. I find myself having to read and re-read Day 1 so that I can remember what it is I wanted to manifest :-(

I am finding my daily meditations to be very helpful in visualizing what I want to manifest, but again, I find myself focusing more on my long term manifestations/wishes instead of the short term ones.

I have managed to manifest an affordable, brand new family car, which is AMAZING. Given it is not one of the short term goals, but a new car was definitely a long-term goal. It is not the car sitting pinned to my vision board but it is a great, reliable car, and is something that I think is better suited for my family at this given moment, so it is definitely a successful endeavor.x

My Law of Attraction Diary - Day 4

I love reading “The Science of Getting Rich”. It is such a basic book on the principles of the law of attraction and Wattle manages to describe the steps needed to manifest things that ou want in your life perfectly. He writes in plain English and if you consider that his book is written somewhere around 1910 it must have been considered very revolutionary for his day.

According to Wattle, what we need to do to manifest anything we desire is to:
-         Have a clear image of what it is we want to manifest.
-         You need to only focus on the positive events. Focusing on things like poverty, disease and misfortune will only draw those closer to yourself.
-         To manifest success you need to create successful days. Everything that you do on a daily basis needs to be done completely with the aim of success. every little task should be given your undivided attention and you should go to bed feeling as if you have had a successful day and you have accomplished all that you set out to do.
-         Live by the principle “ Do not put off tomorrow what you can do today:
-         The more “little” successes you have the more you will welcome success into your life and the easier it is to manifest what you want.

I am finding that the more I meditate, the more I can “FEEL” the manifestation of my desires.

I am learning to give of myself completely, where before I might have done jobs and chores half-heartedly; I am now enjoying the challenging tasks at hand and turning them into a positive experience.

I try to keep my desires at the forefront of my mind and when I focus on them at the end of the day, do so with excitement and great anticipation.

Meditation Group

It's time for our meditation group again :-D We will be meeting this Friday 26th August at 7:00pm in Farrarmere, Benoni

This week we will be learning about letting go of old beliefs and things that no longer serve us.

We will be doing an meditation to release blockages and belief systems that are holding us back from reaching our full potential.

If you are wanting to join us, please contact me on 082 450 6275 or drop me an email before Thursday afternoon.

It would be great to see some new faces there.

My Law of Attraction - Day 3

I love the way when you start to focus on what you are doing and thinking, you start to notice things that you either take for granted or choose to not see or react to. It makes a bit more sense of “What the Bleep”. That there is every possible opportunity and outcome and we choose to only experience the ones we believe to be possible.

Today I had the opportunity to give and I did. That is the best bit, being able to help and getting the opportunity to prove to yourself that it is not all about what you get, but it is more important what you give. It makes me feel human!

Anyway, I love the fact that I am becoming more regular in my meditation ritual and did an abundance meditation and continued with my reading.

Kombucha

Kombucha is believed to have a history dating as far back as 220 BCE where it was first recorded.

Over the years I have noticed the gradual revival of this amazing culture. In an attempt to return to a full, healthy lifestyle, many people have come to try this cheap, fantastic alternative to natural supplementation.

But what does this weird looking disc of a mushroom have to offer you might ask. Well, it has been documented to relieve symptoms such as constipation, gout, rheumatism, arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, headaches, MS, leaky gut and cholesterol to mention but a few and has a natural general detoxifying effect on the entire body.

The benefits that come from drinking kombucha on a regular basis can be accredited to the by-products it produces whilst living in the tea. Glucuronic acid and glucosamines help to lubricate the joints and are known for their’ cancer fighting properties. Another by product, Butyric acid which when combined with the glucuronic acid, strengthens the walls of the intestines and protects the digestive tract from parasites as well as yeast infections.

Kombucha is also a natural source of interferons which are anti-viral, help to fight tumors by allowing communication between cells to trigger the protective defenses of the immune system that eradicate pathogens or tumors.
I have had a kombucha culture steadily growing in my household for a good 12 – 13 years now, and even though my family doesn’t constantly consume the tea, it is always nice to know that it is there when needed.

Is it easy to grow and look after you might ask? My answer would have to be yes. There are some basic rules to growing and looking after kombucha, but if you follow these you should have a happy mushroom that will accompany you for the rest of your days.

For those of you who would like to start to grow their own culture, I have babies (more so during the warmer seasons) that would like to go to good homes. With your new addition to the family I give you a printout with all the info you need to know to keep your baby, happy and healthy. Please contact me for more info.

For those of you who would like to try it, but are not sure if you want to grow it yourself, I do have 1 litre bottles for sale.

My Law of Attraction Diary - Day 2

Okay, so like it always works when I start to focus on manifesting things into my life, it starts to work from the moment I wake up.

Today I received a total of R180 unexpected income :-D.  I tried to constantly have my wants in front of my mind and when I did have a moment to myself I envisaged how it would be to have these things as if I already have them.

I FELT gratitude as often as I could today and continued to list all the things I love and am grateful for.

I did an abundance meditation and continued to read “The Science of Getting Rich”.

My 30 day Experiment with the Law of Attraction - Day 1

I thought I need to walk the walk if I talk the talk! I have decided to blog everyday for 30 days whilst focusing completely on manifesting things in my life over the 30 day period.

Please feel free to leave comments I would love to hear from you.

Everyday I will blog about what I did, how I did it and the results.

Day 1

Today I sat down and decided what it was exactly that I want to manifest in my life within the next thirty days.

Here is what I want to manifest:

  • I want to sell 10 products through my etsy store
  • I want to get an unexpected income of R1500 by the end of September.
  • Get ADSL at home by the end of the September.

I did an abundance meditation and continued to read “The Science of Getting Rich”

Thursday 18 August 2011

Quote of the Day:

"When you try to impress your wants upon substance, remember that it must be done by a coherent statement; you must know what you want and be definite. You can never get rich, or start the creative power into action, by sending out uninformed longings and vague ideas." Wattles

This statement has helped me in volumes putting together concrete wants and desires, because until now I have changed my mind about what I want every 5 minutes. I always have to chuckle to myself imagining the Universe moving things into place for my latest whim, only to change direction every 5 minutes!

I must create a lot of havoc there :-D

My Path with the Law of Attraction – Part 3 – Putting it all together

Ok, so how do you put it all together?

It is all important for you to live in a constant state of gratitude. Find things to be grateful for everyday.

The most important first step is to know what you want. If you are like me and change your mind on what you want every couple of minutes you are going to have to refine your skill.

Write some lists of things you really want, long-term and short-term and then begin with something believable. If you want money and can feel and believe that a huge sum of money will come your way in a given period of time, then go for it. If, on the other-hand you are like me and cannot really relate to money in any form, start with an amount that is believable to you, or start to focus on experiences or things that you could buy with the amount you are asking for.

As stated in The Secret – “Ask, Believe and Receive!”

Once you have asked the universe to deliver your wishes, leave it there. Don’t pull the control back and go out and do it yourself because you can do better…..Give it up to the universe and believe that it is on its way to you. Don’t constantly ask yourself and everyone else, when it will manifest itself, how it will manifest itself and where it will manifest itself. The when, the how and the where really shouldn’t be any concern of yours. Those lie in the domain of the universe, all you have to do is believe.

After you have given your wishes up to the universe and you believe they are on their way to you, open you eyes and heart and be ready to receive. Be open to signs. There may be courses you need to enroll in, people you need to meet, experiences that you need to have to bring you closer to your goals. Follow your intuition and better judgement please……..your path and decisions will all feel right to you. If you are unsure or a direction doesn’t feel right, listen to your heart. It will lead you where you need to go. Don’t be afraid to try things that you might not have tried before, but don’t run around completely without any hesitance at all. The experience and situations that don’t feel right, probably aren’t right…..remember we are working with emotion!

Try to meditate every day and write down the things that you managed to manifest during the day, things you can be grateful for and how you gave of yourself. I re-read the things I wrote that I am grateful for everyday. It puts me in the state of gratefulness. And like I said before, the more you have to be grateful for, the more you will get to be grateful for.

So….try to manifest something believable and small in the beginning. When you see that it is working, you will trust in your ability all the more and it will get easier and easier to do. Good luck!

Topic of the Week: Quotes To Live By

This week I would love to share some quotes that we find inspiring, some quotes we find moving and quotes or sayings that we tend to live by.

Just leave your quote / saying in the comment box below. I look forward to hearing from you.

My Quote is part of the famous poem by Robert Frost - The Road not Taken

" Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."

My Path with the Law of Attraction – Part 2 – Feeling the Emotion

.....After discovering that I don’t always have to be in complete control of everything all the time, especially when it comes to my wants that are up on my vision board, I decided that I really needed to give the Law a chance. But as I said before in the first part, whenever I tried to focus on what I wanted, I found it difficult to decide which emotion I was supposed to use to bring my wishes that much closer to myself.

Rhonda Byrnes’ second book “The Power” made this a much easier task. The Power teaches you that “All you need is love…..” and everything that you want is stuff that you love. It also reminded me that if I want to receive anything I must also give of myself freely. This is almost the best part. I love the way I feel when I can give of myself. I don’t always give of myself financially, but I try to give of myself each day in some way, if not by donating to some cause, and by some cause I mean whoever or whatever I think needs my help, then I try to offer of my time. I find that I feel so much more enriched if I can give something of myself each day. And by give I don’t mean force myself or my influence on anyone or anything!

Emotions, are the easy guide to know if you are on track to your dreams or not. If you feel good, happy and free – you are on track. If you feel bad, fearful (that’s a big one for me), sad or mad you are heading in a tangent to where you originally wanted to go.

You know that feeling, it comes to the end of the month and you still have a little money left over to see yourself comfortably to the next month? This is the month where more money will show itself in your life unexpectedly. Not only money, but opportunities will make themselves available to you, and you will generally find that you will have more and more to be grateful for. I think it is merely a result of being carefree, because you have enough, you manage to attract more into your reality.

I guess you also have felt the feeling when you get to the end of the month and find that you have to turn each coin to get the most out of what you have to survive for the month? That is the month where unexpected bills find their way into your life, where your financial situation goes from being tight to not being able to move. These are the months where I become fearful, and that’s not a good thing. Fear as a frequency is the lowest available and can only pull with it, situations and things to match, so the more I clutch onto my wallet, the worse things get. This is the time I should find something to give my money to…….let the money start to flow again and then it will also start to flow back towards me.

Because I am slowly starting to understand this on a physical level and not just the mental level, I am becoming able to lighten up at the end of the month, regardless of the situation. I can honestly say that no matter how bad things have gotten for me from month to month, the universe has yet not made sure that I have been able to provide food on the table, as well as all the necessities that have arisen during this time. So knowing that all will be provided for has helped me to relax about money and to not constantly focus on the lack thereof!

Ok, so I have covered love, but there is an attitude that needs to become a part of you completely – GRATITUDE.

I try and find things that I am grateful for everyday. The principle is this, the more you have to be grateful about, the more you will have to be grateful about – get it? And by being grateful I mean FEELING grateful. It is easy to list the things you are really grateful about but to feel grateful was something I had to work on. It is not that I am not genuinely grateful, but I lacked in the emotion –Gratitude, feeling grateful is not the same for me as being grateful if that makes sense? So I started to list things that I once again could feel, things that really moved me.

So now I have explained how important it is to FEEL emotions when working with the law of attraction. In Part 3 – I will discuss Putting it all together.

Make sure you subscribe to my Blog to keep yourself informed when the next part is posted.

How to Make a Flower Press

Summer is just around the corner and for those of us learning about botany this spring and summer, or for those of us who like to dry flowers for other crafts I have put this tutorial together.

Todays’ tutorial is going to teach you how to create a simple, but effective flower press.

You will need:

2 pieces of cardboard (they need to be the same size, and need to be cut to the size you would like your press to be) – I like to recycle packing boxes, they are nice and sturdy.
Cutting Board
Art knife/ Stanley knife
Sticky tape
Clear Packaging Tape
Self-adhesive plastic wrap
Wrapping paper or newspaper
Ribbon about 2m per press

First wrap the pieces of cardboard in the wrapping paper.
Next, to stabilize and protect the edges, I use the clear sticky tape and put a layer on each edge.

Cover both pieces of cardboard in the clear self-adhesive wrap.

For extra decoration you can embelish the front cover with dried flowers etc.

Now you need to cut 4 holes in each corner edge of each piece of cardboard to thread the ribbon through.

Now thread the ribbon through, starting at the front edge of the page.

Now continue to thread the ribbon through the back piece of cardboard, starting on the inside edge.

Take a few sheets of kitchen towel and fold in half.
Place them inside your flower press ready to collect and press your flowers.

Now you are ready to go out into the garden and find some of natures treasures to dry. When you have collected them, place them in your press and place under a heavy book. Have fun!
