Wow, I have been absent for a while, sorry about that, much to process here and little PC time :-(
I haven't been idle though and have managed to finish two WIPs, which I would love to share with you all today.
I have finished the Florette that Jas wanted, turned out quite nicely:
I also managed to finish Kays Shawlette. I took a quick photo of it before she rushed out the door to school this morning, so you can't see it very well, so I will take it off her when she gets home and take another pic :-D
Here is an updated photo of my jar, which seems to be filling up slowly. How is your jar doing?
Hope you are all keeping well, I have missed being around, hopefully I will have time next week to remedy that. Have a super weekend!
I will be sharing this post today over at:
If she's running out the door with it on, then she obviously loves it! And who wouldn't - looks lovely in those colours!
ReplyDeleteHi Minding My Own Stitches,
DeleteYes, I guess she does :-D She has left again without me having a chance for a photo....good sign I guess!
Thanks for popping past.

I love the florette. Actually, I wanted to crochet something like that but then the weater wasn't nice for too long and I felt more like warm sweaters. Will this ever change this year?
ReplyDeleteHi Babajeza,
DeleteI couldn't agree more, the weather does look a bit more promising over the last two days or so, maybe we will get a great summer after all?! I am guessing we live in the same part of the world, would be cool if you lived close by....we could possibly meet , would be great!
Thanks for your visit.

TWO FO's in one week thats outstanding! Well done, they both look amazing
ReplyDeleteHi Wool Diaries,
DeleteI must tell you that I had them hibernating in my project bag for quite a while and I just couldn't bring myself to start one more thing without finishing something off. The Florette was pretty easy as this was my first crocheted garment so I was quite motivated to finish. The shawlette on the other hand, did get rather tiring at the end as the rows were enormous and took me a good half an hour to get 2 rows done, so eventually I just wanted it done :-D
Thanks for visiting

Wow both projects are beautiful...The Florette reminds me of one I had in high school...I loved it so much!! The Shawlette is equally beautiful I love the colors in the yarn!! This is my first time visiting your blog...and I was wondering what the collection in the jar is??? Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHi Fairyluver,
DeleteThe jar is something that was started by willow4 over on her blog - kittens with mittens. You collect all your scraps from your WIPs to see how many skeins you actually throw away at the end of the day. At the end of the year I will be doing something with those scraps to recycle them - not sure what yet, but probably will use it as some stuffing material for a project as the pieces are far to small to do anything major with :-D.
Thank you so much for coming past.
Have a super weekend.
