Scheduling Your WIPs

When I have more than one project on the go at any given time I often struggle to give each of them the same amount of attention that they all need.

Do you have the same problem?

So what I have started to do is to pick three projects that I am busy with and schedule them into my week.

I find that this helps me to make some progress on all of them and keeps me a happy knitter - instead of becoming a rather frustrated one!

At the moment my projects are quite easy to schedule as they almost have days dedicated to them.

For example:

This project gets attention every Monday. As it is a Knitting Group project, we have decided to knit this when we are together, this makes my life rather a lot easier as I don't have to find time to dedicate to this project throughout the week.

These have a deadline (end of Feb) and as such I want to have as much progress on them as I can possibly allow throughout the week.

My schedule for these socks is to knit at least 10 rows of pattern every day Monday to Friday.

This project has no deadline, but who wants to have a project on their needles for all eternity?
I already have new "Big" projects planned, but will not allow myself to get going on those new projects before this one is off the needles. So this project needs to grow at the same time as the other two.
As such this has become my weekend project.

I knit extensively and solely on this project over the weekends, and try to get as far as I possibly can over those two days.

So far this plan seems to be working for me.

How do you plan out your WIPs?
Do you schedule them or do you just pick them up according to what you fancy working on that day?
