Winters Back - time for some Winter Woolies!

WIP Wednesdays

I can't believe that winter has returned!
A farmer told me last autumn that we would have a long winter and by the looks of things it seems to be exactly that way.
We could be having snow tonight :O
Can you believe it, and that in the middle of May!
Luckily I haven't even ventured into our garden yet, so I am not cursing under my breath :)

A knitters dream - so I am back on the winter woolies search :)

Let me update you on my WIPs for this week.

cuff down sock

I am on the foot and am looking forward to finishing this pair off so that I can have my full focus for other little projects that I have planned.

Now onto two projects I hope to have on the needles later this week:

First off this cute ribbed baby socks for a friends new little baby :)

This cap is the next project I will be working on for Jas - she might be needing it sooner than later!

crochet project

Next - this is what is left of an awesome little crochet project I whipped up over the weekend whilst watching the Eurovision contest.
I will show you the finished FO on Friday.

Did you watch Eurovision?
If so who was your favourite country?

Feeling quite patriotic this year :)
I loved the Swiss entry this year and am sad that they didn't get a little higher in their scoring.
Here is the entry for your pleasure:

Over the weekend Craftsy had a Flash sale so I had to get me a course ;)
I chose to learn how to work Tunisian Crochet.

Tunisian Crochet

I have ordered my hooks and can't wait to get started!

Have you worked Tunisian crochet before?

I wish you all a productive, warm rest of your week.
See you Friday.

  3. Winter. *Shudder.* Ours was relentless, and our spring has been less than convincing so far. So yes, knitting it is! Those wee baby socks are darling! And your hubby sock is lovely. I wonder if I'll ever knit socks for my husband. I mean, those feet are big!

    1. Hi W-S Wanderings,
I agree with the men sized socks, my hubby has a size 43 and the foot part seems to go on and on, almost like I am knitting a jumper LOL!
Hope you start to get warmer weather where you live soon too :)
      Thanks for visiting.

  4. Our winter has lingered way past what it should have and even spring seems to be dragging its heals. We are still getting really cold nights here and I am so looking forward to warmer weather..sigh. Your socks are lovely and oh my the hat I adore!!! I can not seem to look good in hats I always look just plain goofy in them but, my daughter looks gorgeous in any hat I make for her so I love to knit for her. So I am adding this hat to my list of must knit for my daughter :)

    1. Hi Barbara,
I am the same :) I cannot pull off any kind of headwear but my girls manage it perfectly, so I am also quite content to knit for them, at least I can get the fun out of hats/caps that way.
      Thanks so much for visiting.
