Secret Santa Handmade Swap 2013

Can you believe it is that time of the year again?

I am so excited :)

Last year I had so much fun watching the creations unfold and be received and revealed that I can't wait to do the same again this year.

So what is the Secret Santa Handmade Swap?

This swap is a global Handmade Gift Event, where participants from all over the globe take part and create individual gifts for their unknown partners!

All participants taking part will be paired with another, random (unlike last year) participant.

To take part you will need to be equipped with some hand-making, creative skills whatever they may be as the gift must be made by you.

Each gift needs to have a value of no less than $10 and no more than $15 so that we are all playing in the same ball park! 

Each participant will receive relevant information about their swap partners ( like favourite colours, textures, hobbies etc.) from me via email and then they are to create the ideal gift for their partner before the middle of November 2013. 

The Swap Parcels need to be sent out by no later than the 22nd November 2013, which gives them a good 4 weeks to be received by the prospective partners who will then need to publish a "Reveal Post" on their blogs to let their partners know that they have received the parcel and to brag about what they have received!

You can blog about your project progress as much as you want without revealing who your partner is.

This is a global event and I am hoping it will be a great turnout like it was last year.

To summarize:

The rules of this year's event are as follows:

1. You need to be a follower of my Blog in some form.
2. You need to own a Blog.
3. You need to be willing to send the parcel World-Wide!
4. You need to be willing to spend between $10 and $15 on the raw materials for your project.
5. Your project may not exceed $15.
6. Your project must be handmade by you.
7. If you sign up for this Swap, you are giving me your personal pledge that you will also send your Swap partner a gift. (I have been a part of Swaps where poor folk taking part have sent their Swaps off never to receive one in return, this is a real tragedy and will not be tolerated)
8. Admissions for the Swap close on the 18th October 2013. 
9. Your parcel needs to be ready to ship by the 22nd November 2013. 
10. I need all parties to retain their parcel tracking numbers incase we need to track parcels.
11. You are expected to take part in the "Reveal Post" Link up that will be available from mid-December until mid-January 2014. This is a way of reassuring your partners that their wonderful gifts did arrive at their predestined location and a wonderful way of connecting and networking with other bloggers throughout the world.
