Wow, this is my first WIP Wednesday post of 2014 - that is kinda late, but I have a good reason for not being here.
If you have been following my blog, you will know that I was hosting a Mystery KAL here on the blog and on Ravelry throughout January. The KAL is now coming to it's end (I will reveal some of the awesome FOs next Wednesday) and I am excited to be able to catch up in sharing my WIPs with you all again.
As you may recall, I am working full time at the moment in the weaving studio at work which has resulted in my private handwork coming a little short. I have been over-straining my wrists and hands during office hours, so I am grateful to come home and not have to hold more needles.
I am really not complaining, I love being able to experience this studio as I am gaining incredible know-how in the field of weaving which I would only otherwise get after years of working on a loom and in return I am able to offer the residents there a little insight into their own knitting and crochet talents by helping them to knit their own caps and scarves.
My project which I started for hubby at the beginning of December last year is still on the needles and growing very slowly.
I have just finished the increases and have about 8cm to go before I will start on the first sleeve.
The two blue balls in the picture are for the Ravellenics 2014 which start on Friday - YEAH!!! I can't wait for this to begin! I took part in the Ravellenics in 2012 and had a ball.
If you are looking for a challenge and would like to take part in a knitting/felting challenge this Ravellenics come on over and join our team.
Knitting Madness has it's own team this year and we are knitting and felting some slippers as our main event. You can see our pattern choices HERE
