I am King :)

The first working Wednesday of 2016 and time is already flying!

I haven't knit too much on my Misae over the last week.
I did manage to get through into the red colour change and managed to finish the row with the Vikkel braid - it took me a whole 7 hours to do the one row!

I am not sure how I feel about the braid, I think it feels a bit lost with this yarn, but hey - now I know how to knit one :)

My socks for the Sock-Along are going swimmingly.

I am really enjoying the pattern and loving the way the pair of socks are turning out.

I find the colours very retro :)

And I think I am going to be calling these "80's Tupperware".
The socks have all the identical colours to the Tupperware of then except for the green!

It is wonderful to have so many of you working with me on the Sock-Along Challenge for 2016.

If you would like to join us, we have only just started so there is loads of time to still jump in and have some fun.

And if you are all lucky there may be some cool things to win by taking part and getting some socks off your needles too :)

You can find out more about the Sock-Along HERE

Today is Three Kings day and we have had the traditional bread and I pulled out the figure - which means I am king for a day - YAY!!

I have managed to finish warping an inkle loom with another card weaving warp and I am liking the colours of this band:

Reading wise: I am still busy with the title from last week.

I will be sharing this post with all of my very creative weekly friends so if you would like to be inspired head on over there :)

P.S. I am looking for some amazing sponsors to support the Sock-Along.
If you would like to be part of this experience and would like to know what it would entail please contact me, I would love to hear from you.

See you soon.

  1. 80s Tupperware...lol!!! :)

Would join your year-long sock project, but I've already committed myself to a project list that I need to stick with. I may throw in a few pairs of socks just for fun, and if I could join in those months, that would be great, but it would likely defeat the purpose of it being a pair a month, huh? Oh well. Happy knitting!

    1. Hi Donna,
Yes they were weren't they :) and everything from Tupperware has those colours you just couldn't get away from them LOL! I remember my mom giving my sister and I a mini set of the Tupperware to play in the garden. I adored the lid of the jug, I found it totally fascinating :)
      Thanks for your visit.

    1. Hahaha :) At least you got there, even if it was three buns later!
Ah, I would have loved to see you. Maybe next time we can meet up for a quick cuppa coffee, before you go on to your mom-in-law :)
