As you all were very busy and are ready for the next bit of the pattern I have pulled this part forward a wee bit :)

This part of the pattern will help you to close the edge of bag so that it has a sturdy closure once it is felted.
To do this you need to work the edge with Kitchener stitch.

Remove your markers and begin :)

Your bag will look like this when complete:
