Today I want to talk about my favourite kind of needle - Circulars.
Circulars are needle-tips fixed onto a cable of various lengths.
Now the ones I used to use were these - fixed circulars.
They were easy enough to use but I didn't really appreciate using them at all as I found most of the circulars were not attached to the cables smoothly, so I always had my knitting snagging just before the tips or just after the tips, which was more than a little aggravating and with some kinds of wool it could create a real mess.
I did enjoy the versatility of the cables though and started to adapt all my patterns to be knit in the round.
And then one day I discovered KnitPros - For me these are the Ferraris under the knitting needles!
I now only knit my projects on these amazing tools, no matter the size, I refuse to go back to the experiences I had before.
Not only is there a wonderful smooth flow between KnitPro needle and cable (You barely notice the change at all!) but the tips are so wonderful to knit with, and the cables are amazingly flexible.
With the normal cables, I would find myself soaking them in hot water to get them to bend in the direction I wanted them to go, but this experience is not one I have with KnitPro, the cables are wonderfully pliable and move in the direction that I want every-time!
And the best of all, the cables and the tips are interchangeable!
What is this good for you ask yourself? Let me count the ways.
I am a knitter who never has a single project on the go.
I am always finding new things that I want to start today, and hence have a need for many a needle.
KnitPro sorted out this problem for me in a matter of 1,2,3!
Because the cables and tips are interchangeable, and each cable comes with its own nifty end caps, they allow me the flexibility to have many projects on the go at any given time with a single set of tips!
So instead of buying 4 circular needles in the size of 4.5mm for example, all I need to do, is purchase a couple of extra cables and ONE set of tips!
When I want to swap projects, all I need to do is remove the tip, and in its' place screw on the end cap. This allows me to free the tips for the next project, but keep the old project safe from unraveling.
Gone are the days of drawers and drawers keeping all my hundreds of needles safe, now I have a compact little bag, encompassing all the tips I will ever need as well as the cables and end-caps I am not currently using.
Isn't that wonderful??? A knitters dream!
Wouldn't you like to try these wondrous needles out?
NOW You can!!
Today, I would love to offer you the possibility to live the dream!
