Shrinky Fun!

Welcome back to Tutorial Thursdays Linky Party.
Today I want to share a fun little craft with you that is great to make and easy to do!

shrinky earrings

To make these earrings you will need:
Shrinkle Sheet
Stamp, image or freehand design that you would like to make
Crayons
Earring Clasps
Oven

First find your design. I created a mandala design through this great online mandala generator:

Once I had finished creating my mandala, I made sure it was about 7.5cm in diameter and printed it out.

Transfer the image two times on to a piece of shrinkle sheet.

Cut out and punch a hole on the top edge of each circle. Place on a baking tray.

Heat your oven to 150°C

And place your shrinkies in the oven. Standby as it goes quite quickly.

shrinky dinks

They will shrink 7 times smaller and 7 times thicker :)

Once they roll up they will also go back to lying flat, when flat remove from oven.

Once cool (they cool pretty quickly) Thread onto your earring clasps.

Who said shrinkies can only be enjoyed by children? ;)
