I have a lot to show you this week, which is great, amazing what a sudden snow storm can do for the motivation to knit up some quick winter woolies ;)
Some of my projects from last week are already FOs so I will be showing you them on Friday.
Here is my focus for this weeks WIPs (This is by no means a complete image of the WIPs sitting next to my sofa by the way, just what I am looking at today and maybe tomorrow LOL!):
Let me start off with the next big ball of fun :)
Yip, another ball of squishy, soft Drops Verdi!
How often do you find yourself knitting a pullover and a full length cowl out of 350g of yarn?
And at the moment it is available for a discounted price at my LYS?
Enough said!
This is Jas's "Perfectly Pink" choice of pullover for her ball of loveliness. What do you think?
The next project is also snow inspired....
These are some leg warmers I am quickly knitting up for the teenagers of the house :). They are quite fashionable here at the moment and I am stash-busting with, you guessed it, some more Drops yarn for this WIP :) They will definitely be finished today and I will share them and the simple pattern with the rest of my FOs on Friday..
Because of the urgency for gloves, caps and the like, I have placed the completing of my Pay it Forward gifts momentarily on hold. Please know that I definitely haven't forgotten about you and will continue with these gifts as soon as my time allows.
Tomorrow it is time for the 5th post in Tutorial Thursdays.
Can you guess what I will create using this two main objects and a little freezer and a bit of time?
You still have a little over 3 hours 50 minutes left today to come past and share anything you have created over the last week. I would love to feature your creations so I hope you will consider joining in the fun :).
Secret Santa Handmade Swap is under way and each of those taking past have received their swap partner. If you haven't received a mail from me yet please contact me.
And to finish up today an updated image of my yarn jar....
Thanks for visiting, I greatly appreciate it.
Oh......nearly forgot.....HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Oh......nearly forgot.....HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
So hop on over for more inspiration.
See you tomorrow :)
That pink is such a lovely colour (in fact, it looks like it matches the cardigan I am wearing today!)
ReplyDeleteHi pinkundine,
DeleteIt is, isn't it?
It has various shades of pink throughout, which is not that easy to see just yet, but I can't wait to see how it evolves.
Thanks so much for visiting.

Hello Natalie,
ReplyDeleteYour pink-ish yarns looks pretty and fluffy, love the gray too. Looking forward to the progress of your projects.
Have a lovely day!

Those leg warmers look very warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah,
DeleteYes, Jas had the completed one on yesterday and I had to ask her for it back as I still need to sew in the ends!
Thanks for visiting.

That pink yarn looks heavenly!
ReplyDeleteHi flyingjen,
DeleteYes, I can't wait until I am a little further in the jersey to see the changes in the colour.
Thanks for visiting.

that is some lovely, squishy looking yarn! and the legwarmers, nice. seriously, i am not sure why legwarmers went out of style, who doesn't want warm legs!
ReplyDeleteHi momto5,
DeleteI totally agree with you! I guess after Olivia Newton John's "Let's Get Physical" things kinda fizzled out with the leg-warmer style....making a big comeback here this season though!!
Thanks for visiting.

I have legwarmers on my needles too. As now my feet are more than warm, the body too, the legs are next. Finally the head .... :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Babajeza,
DeleteOh I am glad to hear that news.
Thanks for visiting.

What a fun pink! And those legwarmers are quite stylish now aren't they. My daughter has bright pink ones. Of course, she is 7.5yrs and loves them to bits.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
DeleteI can well understand the fascination with the leg warmers, same here :)
Thanks for visiting.
