Hello my lovelies,
I don't know how you feel, but since I have been doing WIP Wednesday which is over a year now, Wednesday seems to be the most important day of the week! Do you feel the same?
Let's move right on tho this weeks progress:
As you can see Kay's Socks are done - whew - I was starting to have a bad case of second sock syndrome there. More about that on Friday!
The lovely neon yarn in the image above is for a new cap for Kay as she left her last cool cap on the bus and we never got it back :(
This is also a stash-busting project and I had this yarn in my other (one skein wonders) drawer since the beginning of winter hoping to come up with a project for it. I love the cable work on this cap and the colours are so bright and - most importantly for teens - in Fashion!! I do hope that I will have enough with just the one skein. It is progressing quite quickly and I guess it will be finished shortly.
I was hoping to show you the beginnings of my cowl that I am Test knitting for Linda from Mamma4earth, but my yarn has yet to arrive for this project :((( Oh well, next week then!
Talking of my wonderful friend Linda, she is my amazing sponsor for this month and is offering an awesome Giveaway to all of you out there. You could win yourself 8 of her patterns of your choice should you win, so head on over and grab your chances! (ends on the 8th April 2013)
On the reading front: I am still loving our online Book-club book, The Book Thief, and am almost done, will tell you more about it soon.
I hope you will be joining in with tomorrow's Tutorial Thursday , I will be showing you how to create these Recycled flowers/tulips and I look forward to seeing what you have been up to also :)
See you tomorrow

Yes wednesday is an important day! even if I don't participate in any link ups I do enjoy seeing what everyone else is making. We don't have school in France on Wednesdays so it is always a very busy day, 'mum's taxi' day I call it, as I seem to spend lots of time driving to and from activities!
ReplyDeleteLove the cable hat, just added it to my Ravelry library. Love the yarn you are using.
Have a lovely wednesday.
Hi Emma,
DeleteSwitzerland also used to have a system when I first moved here where Wednesday afternoons were free but the children had to go to school on Saturday mornings. That has changed over the years, though generally I think Wednesdays are short days here - 12ish. Are your stores open on Wednesdays? Here in the villages on Wednesday afternoons everything grinds to a halt :(
Thanks for visiting.
Wishing you a stress-free rest of your day :)

ReplyDeleteHi Alisa,
DeleteI agree, it is quite fun to knit such colourful knits, not my usual thing, but when I went past my LYS in Octoberish, Kay came with me and liked the yarn so I bought it, glad I am actually doing something with it :)
Thanks for visiting.
