I am thoroughly enjoying my two week break and love being at home with the girls.
Yesterday I went through to Berne with the girls to go and fetch my, that's right, my spinning wheel. A wonderful lady gave it to me as she has no time or use for it any more. I am so thrilled. It is very similar to the one I have had on lend from work. It is a Spinning wheel from Humanus Haus (A foundation for handicapped people) which is very well-known in Switzerland for producing high quality wheels.
I hope that I will have a chance before the end of this week to sit down and try my hand at spinning something, I will let you know how it turns out :)
Onto this week's WIP:
My Stash-busting Blanket is going well. It is growing quite quickly and I am now finished with my coloured yarn and am now on the final leg of he blanket which consist of beige yarn only.
My fear is that I will not have enough of the beige to get the blanket to the dimensions I want which are 240 x 240m as I am managing just over one round with a beige ball. I have another 6 or so balls in my stash so I am guessing I will eventually have to order some more yarn to complete it!
The great news is my stash drawer is dwindling very quickly indeed.
Here is a Before and After shot from yesterday. Once I had removed the beige yarn I could actually see my carpet :)
All that is left in this stash drawer is the yarn needed for hubby's jersey and for my scarf! There are 2 or 3 balls of other coloured yarn which I will make into gloves or caps or something but we will see what the final plan with those will be.
Reading Wise: I have finally finished Dan Brown, finished it last night, and will be starting my new read: "The Brief History of the Dead" today :)
I will have my finished book review for you later on in the week.
Do come by tomorrow to see how to create this simple flower chain, and to share your creations from last week. If you have a moment, do vote for your favourite link from last week as it may be featured tomorrow :)
I hope you all have a great rest of your week.

BTW: I have removed the Google+ Comments as I know some of you can't leave comments as you don't have a Google Profile, I look forward to hearing from you soon :)

I will be sharing this over at Tamis, Ginny and Frontier Dreams
I am wondering if you can help. The place I work has one of these spinning wheels but no bobbins. Do you know if anyother bobbin will work? Or can you give me dimensions or a place to purchase bobbins for it here in the USA? Thank you in advance Holly
